There is nowhere that it is written that I, Musawenkosi Tshoaele, HAVE to do ‘x’, ‘y’, and ‘z’ because I MUST DO it.
Yes, even if you were to tell the obvious truth known by the everyone, laws we must abide by – laws which are laid down for the lucrative benefits of the rich and power i.e. governments, churches, businesses, etc – even though in reality we are the ones who choose to be enslaved by these laws.
You might say choosing not to follow some of them is considered illegal, sinful or unprofitable but here me out here.
Who's really in charge?
Who really owns you?
If you were to stop everything, and take a break from it all...
If you were to let go of your struggles, your policies and procedures, your debts, your worries, your dependents, your deadlines, your meetings, your tests, your assignments, your responsibilities and obligations.
In that millisecond of absolute freedom…whose tune did you live by?
You see that's my point.
To fulfil a sense of purpose, we choose to be governed by the laws of others, most of the time to the benefit of that other person, and seldom our own.
So in other words there are no “I must do's” in life.
Apart from the rules/ laws we have set and Chosen for ourselves.
The million dollar question is who gains more from the choices I have made in this life of mine?
And if it's the "other guy," why is that?
