Your Happiness Is A State of Being, Not A Destination

I'm going to go on a limb and say that the reason you get up every morning is because you want to ultimately experience happiness.

Be it you going to work, or going to school, or going to see friends or family, be it you going to take drugs or alcohol or having sex or music or writing or meditating or dancing or reading...whatever your addiction is.

You believe that you will experience some sort of happiness by you doing what it is that you do that takes up most of your day.

Your motivation behind everything you do is to experience happiness, no matter how short lived your happiness might be.

Happiness is a good reason for doing anything.

But sometimes the methods you take so that you can experience happiness are not so cool.

And through your pain you unknowingly console yourself by telling yourself that you are doing all this because it will eventually make you happy.

So you adopt this "no pain no gain" attitude that you live by because you see no other alternative.

Even though there is...

"Ask, and it shall be given you;
Seek, and ye shall find;
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth;
And he that seeketh findeth;
And to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

~ Matthew 7:7-8

Yours in prosperity,

Musa
